Indiranagar Club-Tennis court TIMINGS

The tennis court timings shall be as under for all three session of play.

MORNING : 6:30 AM - 9:30 AM
EVENING : 3:30 PM - 6:30 PM
FLOOD LITE : 7:30 PM - 9:30 PM

BALL BOYS

Ball boys will be available in all the three sessions.

MARKER

Marker shall be present in the Court

Between : 6:30 AM - 10:30 AM and 4:00 - 8:00 PM

COMMENCEMENT AND THE PROCEDURE OF THE GAME

The Game / Set will be of half hour duration. The Game /set will be counted by the reading of the clock i.e., 6:30 to 7:00, 7:00 to 7:30, 7:30 to 8.00, 8.00 to 8:30, 8:30 to 9.00, 9.00 to 9.30. The half hour time slot includes rally time and playing time for the set. The members shall vacate the court after their time slot.

SINGLES

Singles can be played only if there is no body in waiting. If three members are there then the marker will make the foursome.

DOUBLES

A doubles match / set shall have priority over a single match.

GUESTS

Guests are not allowed on Saturday /Sunday /Public Holidays. Guest fee is Rs. 50/- per session. Guest can use only for five days in a month.

WAITING

Members can wait if they choose to, for the Court they desire to play. If a member has waited for one full set he gets the seniority over the fresher. The fresher has got the priority; otherwise the member who comes first will have the seniority over the other player’s playing in the same court.

NEW BALLS

MORNING SESSION : New Balls are given on Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday and Sunday.

EVENING SESSION : New Balls are given on Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday and Sunday.

FLOOD LITE : Monday, Wednesday, Friday.

CONVENTION AND ETIQUETTE

Members are required not to smoke in the Tennis section nor use Cell phones. Members are requested not to use mobile phones while playing. Members shall cut/cross only when the rally is not on. Members shall use the side of the Tennis Court while moving to any other Courts. A member must not raise his voice in dispute or otherwise, in such a way as to disturb the play in other courts. Use of foul language, obscene gestures and threatening behaviour are strictly forbidden. Members are requested to complain only to the Chairman or the Sub-Committee members and avoid direct confrontation with the marker.
